TED Talk #9

Hi Everyone,

Did you ever have someone tell you not to think about something.  For example, don't think about an elephant.

Wait, really, don't think of an Elephant!

What happened?  I'll tell you -

Sound about right?  All you really want to do is see an elephant.

All these kids want to do is eat a marshmallow.

Well, how about waiting to get something really great?  Is this hard or easy for you?

In this short talk from TED U, Joachim de Posada shares a landmark experiment on delayed gratification — and how it can predict future success. With priceless video of kids trying their hardest not to eat the marshmallow.

Here is the link.

Take care,
Mrs. Roberti
